Gary Lee McKenzie

McKenzie, Gary, 50, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 23, at The Ohio State University Cancer Center. He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Stammer, his sister Danielle McKenzie, and his mother-in-law Marlene Walling. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Barbara (Walling) McKenzie, his son Gary II, daughter Olivia and grandson Samuel. He is also survived by longtime friends Kathy Flynn, Kayla Braun and their families, his father-in-law John Walling (Karen), in-laws Sharon Jones (Jeff), John Walling II (Cindy), Brian Walling (Brooke), Eric Walling (Monica), his father Danny McKenzie (Yolanda), brothers Robert McKenzie (April), Ralph McKenzie (Angel), and many nieces, nephews and friends. Gary was a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed his music and his sports. “Go Cowboys.” Family will receive friends from 5 PM – 8 PM, Sunday, October 1 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Avenue.
