George M. Dugan Age 65 passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness in Cincinnati on September 28, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 13th, 1959 to Donald and Cecilia. Dugan. He was a resident of the Dayton area attending Oakwood and Centerville City Schools graduating in 1978 from Centerville. He spent his career working at Carmel's Restaurant starting as a crew member and working his way up to kitchen manager.
George was very proud of his Hungarian Catholic Heritage. He enjoyed cooking and eating all types of food, especially his Hungarian Cabbage rolls and a good baloney sandwich. He had a knack for working on automobiles and small engines in his spare time. George had a great sense of humor and was always up for a practical joke or an inside family joke that his siblings were known to bestow upon him.
He was preceded in death by his mother Cecilia, his father Donald Dugan, maternal grandparents Joseph and Anna Tegl and paternal grandparents Thomas and Mary Dugan, paternal great grandparents Frank and Anna Kazicsko and Martin and Margaret Dugan. George was particularly adored by his great grandma Kazicsko
George is survived by his siblings, Frank Dugan of Kettering and Anna Dugan of Oakwood, step-mother Sue Dugan of Oakwood and step brother Charles Malloy (Deborah) and step sister Laura Oakes (Douglas). Nephews Thomas Dugan of Cleveland and Jonathan Dugan and niece Jacqueline Dugan and a great nephew, James Dugan.
A graveside service for George will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024. At 1:30 p.m. with Deacon Rusty Baldwin officiating from Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery alongside his beloved mother, Hungarian grandmother and great grandmother who all loved him dearly and unconditionally during their lives. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to your favorite charity in George's memory.
The family would like to thank Queen City Hospice and the nursing staff at Parkview Health Care Center in Cincinnati for the care they provided for George.
