George E. Kuntz III, 67, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away Easter Sunday, April 5, surrounded by family and friends.
Born April 11, 1947, he was a native of Dayton, Ohio, and a graduate of Carroll High School, Miami University, and the University of Dayton. He was a teacher and coach at Carroll High School before making a career as a sales executive with the E.F. MacDonald Company, Carlson Companies, the Heritage Group, and HG Worldwide. After traveling the world for a number of years, he became involved in businesses closer to home, including Talegators Pub & Grille in Centerville. After retirement, he had re-devoted himself to coaching, and was passionate about impacting the lives of others through his love for teaching. A parishioner at St. Henry Parish, he was also a member of numerous local committees and organizations and donated to a variety of charities, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
George is preceded in death by his mother, Julie E. (Sullivan) Kuntz, and father, George E. Kuntz Jr.
George is survived by his son George IV, daughter Alexandra, sisters Suzanne (Dave Roselius) and Kathryne (Gary Heeb), brother Timothy (Judy), loyal and loving dog Lucy, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Westbrock Funeral Home (Bigger Road) in Dayton on Monday, April 13th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Henry Parish in Dayton on Tuesday, April 14th at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
