Petrosky, George D.
Age 86 of Beavercreek formerly of Kettering passed away Jan. 2, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born Sept. 1, 1930 in Dayton to the late Margaret and Alex Petrosky. He was a graduate of Stivers High School and The University of Dayton. George started a long and varied career with NCR, Children's Medical Center and then Elizabeth Place. He was a Founding member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. George was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret (Charles) Wassenich, Elsie (Howard) Hardy, Dorothy Boyer, one brother Alex (Alberta) Petrosky. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nancy, three children, Beth Petrosky, Janna (Paul) Piechota and George Petrosky, Jr., sister, Rosemary (John) Stekli and sister-in-law Glenna Harmuth. The most joyous times of Baw Baw's life were the times spent with his grandchildren, Kristen Petrosky, Jessica Piechota and Joe (fiancee Emilee) Piechota. Also his many nieces and nephews. For their support and friendship, the family thanks Betty, Patsy and Bob, Bettina, Mona and John. Our heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Dayton. A visitation will be held at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd., Kettering, on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 6, 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville.
