DROSS, Gertrude (Van Zant) Born June 17th,1923 in Laurel County Kentucky to Estel and Betty Jane Van Zant.Trudi passed away from a short illness in Jacksonville Florida on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, where she resided with her family. Trudi is survived by her much loved son John Estel Dross, and her loving grandchildren Sayward Dross Minter, John Brett Dross, Shawn Stephen Dross, and great grandchildren as well. She is also survived by her daughter in law Marcy Brett Dross. Trudi enjoyed her family and travel, and also participated in multiple community events for Senior citizens, as well as the Wounded Warrior Program. Trudi performed as Minister to the ill, and lead varied activities in her previous residence at Bethany Village, where she had resided for many years, enjoying each and every moment. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 18th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave, Dayton, we invite family and friends to celebrate a generous and bright soul who brought such a smile to all of us that were fortunate to have been in her presence.
