She is survived by sons Robert (Julie) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Stephen (Suzanne) of McLean, Virginia, and daughter Elaine Sendelbach of Centerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Jon (Ellen), MIshelle, Brian (Elizabeth), Carolyn (Robert), Matthew (Kimberly), Amy (Taylor), Christopher (Dara), Kyle, and Ryan; 14 great-grand children, Isabel, Nickodem, Luke, Anya, Noah, Paul, Bakha, Owen, Adam, Albin, Bailey, Rose, Ellie, and Katie; and many devoted nieces and nephews, especially Roger Glass and Carol Pollock and their respective families. Helen retired from Rike’s after more than 25 years of service, and she was also a member of the 20-year Club of Rike’s retired employees. As a past PTA president, she was an active participant in her children’s education. A lifelong member of St. Adalbert’s Church, she sang in the Polish choir for many years, and she was involved in the Altar Rosary Society. She was active in the Polish community, supporting her husband by cooking for the many Polish picnics and dances; and she was an avid member of her pinochle club for over fifty years. She had a dry wit and a generous spirit with everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren she doted on. A special thank you to St. Leonard’s and their assisted living staff for the compassion and loving special care they provided her for ten years. Our appreciation to the superb ER staff and 6th floor advanced care staff of Miami Valley Hospital for the dignity shown to her during her final hours.
