DEUER, Henry J., "Duke" age 91 of Centerville, passed away at his home, Wednesday April 6, 2011. Henry was a veteran of both WWII and Korea. In WWII he was in the 90th Infantry under General Patton. Duke was a recipient of 1 Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He was the owner of Dumar Typsetting from 1963 to 1981. Duke was preceded in death by his first wife Bea in 1987 and second wife, Pat in 2001 as well a son Thomas in 1962. Duke is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen Deuer of Centerville; a step daughter and her husband, Bonnie Bolinger and Jim Kotz of Irvine, California; two grandchildren, Rachael Deuer of Dayton, Brian Kotz of Irvine, California and a great grandson, Brayden Phillips of Dayton. Plus many nieces and nephews and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday April 12, at St. Anthony Church 830 Bowen St. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday April 11 at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley 46 N. Detroit St., Xenia, Ohio 45385 or the Alzheimer's Association , envelopes available at the funeral home.
