Hervey Koref

Koref, Hervey, age 78 of Kettering, passed away Tuesday May 12, 2015. Hervey was a Navy Veteran who served on the USS Stoddard and an over the road truck driver for 33 years with over 4 million miles of safe driving. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dorothy, and his daughter Cindy Stroud. He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie (Gordon) Jones, Jeannie (Steve) Cantrell all of Beavercreek; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jon of KY, Aaron (Sandy) of FL, Thomas (Cindy Holbrook) of Dayton, Daniel (Kelli) of CA; a sister Ann of NY; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be held 10:00 am Friday May 15 at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Reverend David Tackett officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial, Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Wounded Warriors, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
