Homer Venard

VENARD, Homer W. age 87 died Saturday, December 1, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Florence Venard, 1 sister and 2 brothers. Homer is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Venard; daughters: Vicky (Michael) Pittman and Elizabeth Ann Brownfield; son, Richard Venard; grandchildren: Shannon Zelik, Shane Venard, Jaime Sparks, Lindsey Kellerman, Luke Pittman, Brittney, Zackary, Cody and Brady Brownfield and 6 great-grandchildren. Homer was a lifetime member of the VFW#2800, served in WWII in the United States Army and retired from General Motors. He was an avid exerciser and loved gardening. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Miami Valley Hospital and Oak Creek Nursing Home for all of their care and support. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Road, Dayton.
