Irene Golba

Golba, Irene V. (nee Konicki), age 87, of Centerville, passed away Sunday April 8, 2018, after a courageous eleven year battle with breast cancer. Mrs. Golba, the daughter of the late Stanley & Sophia Konicki, was a life-time member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Polish National Alliance, the Polish Roman Catholic Union, and the Polish Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Golba. Irene is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Theodore (Elizabeth) Golba and Timothy (Tracy) Golba; four grandchildren, Thomas, Megan, Claire, and Nicole; her siblings, Josephine (Eugene) Jablinski, Stanley Konicki, Thomas Konicki, Carol (Robert) Begley; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9am-11am at St. Adalbert Church, 1212 St. Adalbert Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at the Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements by The Westbrock Funeral Home.
