Joseph Henry Zobrist “Hank”
Age 82, of Kettering, Ohio passed away suddenly December 29, 2020 at home. He was born March 25, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Joseph and Lucille (Weigert) Zobrist. Hank is survived by his devoted wife Linda of 58 years. His children Chris (Jennifer), Greg,
David (Kathy), and Debbie Hardy ( Steve). Beloved grandchildren
Adam, Kyle, Ashley (Cody), Abby, Stephanie (Daniel), Jake, Grace, Nick, and Eva. And three great grandchildren; Brady, Kodi, and Jaxson. Also survived by brothers Tom (Patricia),
Jerry( Dee), Doug(Marilyn), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Chaminade HS and attended the University of Dayton. He worked his entire life at the family owned business; Bell Optical Laboratory, retiring as president.
His work ethic and dedication to the business was exemplary.
Hank was an avid sports fan, supporting UD basketball, the Buckeyes, the Browns, and the Bengals. He thoroughly enjoyed
weekend afternoons watching games with his sons and grandsons. He also loved boating and being around water, spending many of his formative years at Indian Lake and later years at Lake Erie where he loved fishing and entertaining family and friends. In recent years, he spent endless hours enjoying movies especially Westerns, War movies, and Civil War shows. Hank was a true family man, his family “meant the world” to him. He will be missed dearly by them and myriads of friends and associates.
His life was a wonderful testament to his faith in God. He was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church where a private visitation will take place for family only before his Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father Chris Worland at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 11.
