HILBING Jr., Francis John “Jack”, age 79 of Centerville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 20, 2017. He was born in Quincy, IL to the late, Francis John and Irene Marie (Sanders) Hilbing, Sr. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Birdie (Beck) Hilbing; children, John Francis (Michele) Hilbing, James Henry (Elizabeth) Hilbing, Kathleen Marie (Michael) Kempster;
grandchildren, Kimberly Joy (Adam), Michael Joseph “MJ” (Victoria), John M. “Jack”, Genevieve R., Katherine A; great-grandchildren, Noah, Bella, Robert “RJ”; siblings, Mary (Joseph) Eling, Sister Judith Hilbing O.P., Sister Judine Hilbing O.P. and many dear friends. Jack graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and received his Ph.D. from Stanford. He retired from the US Air Force as a LT. Colonel and had a
subsequent career in the computer industry. Jack was a longtime, very active volunteer at the Church of the Incarnation where he also was heavily involved with the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Family and friends may visit from 4pm-7pm on Thursday, May 25 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30am on Friday, May 26 at the Church of the Incarnation with Fr. Don Schramm celebrant. Jack will then be laid to rest in the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society in his memory. Jack will be dearly missed by his friends and family and will be remembered for his overwhelming generosity with his time, talent and possessions.
