James A. Fitzgerald

FITZGERALD, James Arnold (Arnie) 38 of Dayton, Ohio, departed this life unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1994 and attended University of Kentucky. Arnie was preceded in death by cousins: Joey Sharpe and Ronnie Moccabee; uncle, James Fitzgerald and aunt, Jeannie Fitzgerald. Survived by his parents Andrea (Giallombardo) and Patrick Fitzgerald; sisters: Amy and Kelly Tierney, special niece Emily Tierney; nephew, Jake Neeb and great niece Kylie Heidenreich, along with sisters: Stacy (Joey) Windover, Angie (John) Sanders and brother, Pat, Jr. (Jennifer) Fitzgerald. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents: Steve and Maxine Giallombardo. Arnie has left behind many aunts and uncles: Teresa (Mike) Dabbelt, Stephen Giallombardo, Dan (Nancy) Giallombardo, Jim (Leslie) Giallombardo, Gina (Dave) Palmisano, Paula (Chris) Eifert, Nick (Whitney) Giallombardo, Lori (Jim) Sharpe and Kathy (John) Gershberger as well as numerous cousins and second cousins all of whom live in town and across the country. Too many cousins to mention! Arnie was an avid hockey fan and grew up playing the sport most of his life. His charisma and sense of humor endeared him to no stranger. He will be sorely missed by many. Visitation will be Thursday, May 16th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 17th at Southbrook Christian Church, 9095 Washington Church, Miamisburg. Final Resting Place will be at David's Cemetery Columbarium. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Arnie Fitzgerald Memorial Fund at The Citizens National Bank.
