James Bulger

BULGER, JAMES DALTON, age 70, died Monday, August 2, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born October 12, 1939 in Putnam, CT to the late Bernard and Dorothy Katherine Bulger. A graduate of University of Dayton, he was a teacher with the Ripley, Gipson County and Lake County school systems and a member of the Optimus Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Bulger and a son, Brendan Bulger. Mr. Bulger is survived by his wife of 29 years, Shirley, of Newbern, daughters: Kelly Bulger of Ohio and Kathleen (Johan) Schneider of Oregon, sons: Kevin Bulger of Oregon, Jeff (Sherry) Leggett of Dyer, TN and Mike (Amy) Leggett of Dyersburg, two brothers: John (Jan) Bulger and Bobby Bulger, a sister, Betty (David) Veins, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were held on Thursday, August 5th in TN. A Memorial Service will be held in Dayton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
