RAU, James J., "Jim" age 98, of Centerville, passed away Saturday May 28, 2011. Mr. Rau, a Navy veteran of WWII, was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Society of Tool and Manufacturing Engineers. Jim worked as a tool design engineer for numerous tool manufacturing companies in the Dayton area as well as southwest Michigan before retiring in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Irene Rau; an infant son, Roger Michael Rau; a sister, Jane; and two brothers, Roger and Joe. Mr. Rau is survived by his loving wife, Helen; a daughter, Teresa Brady; a son, Jim Rau (Sandra); four grandsons, Joe and Mark Rau, Jon and Jeffrey Brady; a sister, Martha Beall; two brothers, Paul (Rosemary), Frederick (Helen); a sister-in-law, Dolores Rau, other family members including a special niece, Peggy Mays. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am Wednesday June 1st at St. Leonards Center Chapel, Centerville, OH. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10-11am at the Chapel prior to Mass.
