SCHUBERT, James R., age 82 of Beavercreek passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 17, 2017. He was born in Dayton on December 7, 1934 to the late, Clarence and Laura (Meyer) Schubert. Also preceding him in death is his wife, Eleonora Schubert and son, Nicholas. He is survived by his children, Jim (Jamie) Schubert, Christine (Reginald) SchubertKabban, several grandchildren; siblings, John (Angela) Schubert and Mary Schubert. Jim worked as a tool & die maker for Dayton Reliable Tool for many years. He was very active in the Riverdale Optimist Club, served as a Big Brother and was an active member of the Miami Valley Catholic Social Service. Friends and family may visit from 5-8 pm on Friday, November 24 at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am at Church of the Ascension on Saturday, November 25. He will then be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami Valley Catholic Social Services.
