LEFF, Janet Anne, age 76 passed away on December 21, 2017. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 14, 1941 to the late, J.J. and Florence (nee Nelligan) Leff. Also preceding her in death are sisters, Elizabeth Keene Leff, Joan M. Hamilton (nee Leff) and Barbara S. King (nee Leff). Janet is survived by her brothers, J. David (Patricia) Leff, William J. (Kathy) Leff and many nieces and nephews. She graduated from Julianne High School and the University of Dayton with a Liberal Arts degree. Janet spent her life serving others. She was a licensed social worker in Cleveland, Ohio at Cuyahoga County Welfare Dept., Parmadale Children’s Home and St. Vincent’s Charity Hospital for over 30 years. For 10 of her last 15 years, she lived and served as a volunteer Social Worker in Medugorje, Bosnia Herzegovina. Her family would like to recognize Janet’s longtime friends in Cleveland who were always there for her, Betty and Noel Slonaker, Anita Kules, and Connie and Dr. Paul Omelsky who have supported her through the years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Church of the Holy Angels, 1322 Brown St. Dayton with Fr. Thomas Schroer celebrant. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45420 or the Pilgrims Peace Center, P.O. Box 1439 Crystal River, FL 34423-1439. Arrangements entrusted to Westbrock Funeral Home, Dayton.
