AMANN, Jeanne M. passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2014. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dick Sr., and is survived by her children, Dick Amann Jr. and Peggy Amann [Mark] Grunkemeyer. Other survivors include her brother, Jim [Thelma] Helmig, sister, Jayne Helmig [Fred Souk], grandchildren, Beth Grunkemeyer [Chad] Campbell, and Tom Grunkemeyer [Lisa]; great grandchildren Alex, Addyson, and Alivia Campbell, Emily, Samantha, and Jack Grunkemeyer. Other survivors include friends and family members Jeff Gill, Tom Amann, and Rita Amann Baxter. Jeanne was born to Bud and Bertha Helmig on April 6, 1928. She graduated from Julienne High School in 1946 and continued her education at University of Dayton. Jeanne's greatest accomplishments were centered in the home and her beloved family. She was a supporter of St. Vincent de Paul, Catholic Social Services, and a charter member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. She will be remembered for her strong dedication to family, friends, and faith. Jeanne was most comfortable in the company of lively people enjoying a Bloody Mary at Doubledays, Geez, and The Paragon Club. Friends may visit the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering on Friday, August 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 16 at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery. In lieu of flowers please remember Jeanne's favorite charities, St. Vincent de Paul, The Monsignor Robert Amann Foundation, and Catholic Social Services.
