Jessica Xin Scaccia

SCACCIA, Jessica Xin, passed away just under four months shy of her 13th birthday on Sunday February 25, 2024, in Toledo, OH. She was surrounded by the love of her family and close relatives until her spirit went to heaven. Jessica was born on June 24, 2011, in Dayton, OH to her parents John Jr. and Lida Scaccia, and was the youngest of seven siblings.

To know Jessica was to know love in its purest form. She was an excellent student, always striving to do her best, and she was an essential part of her school and community. She enjoyed collecting vinyl records, listening to her favorite musical artists Mitski and Tyler, the Creator, reading novels like The Outsiders, watching movies with her dad (most recently the original Karate Kid franchise), helping her mom at her nail salon, spending quality time with her siblings, and cracking jokes to make her friends and family laugh. She always ended every phone call with her family members by saying “I love you.”

Jessica is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Anne Size Ringkamp, John J. Scaccia Sr., and her spiritual grandfather Charles Hoffman.

Jessica is survived by her parents: John Jr. and Lida Scaccia; siblings: Ariel Scaccia-Schuette (Cole), John J. Scaccia III (Shahd), Maria Scaccia (Aaron Meixner), Michael Scaccia, Luke Holt, and Jaxon Holt, as well as her “extra” sisters Parker Holt and Angel Redd; her maternal grandparents Heng Sea and Keang Ly, Aunt Lily Sea, Uncle Alan Scaccia, her dog Bear, and countless extended family members in the US, Cambodia, and the Middle East.

A visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday March 4th at Westbrock Funeral Home 1712 Wayne Ave. Dayton OH 45410 and Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday March 5th at Our Lady of the Rosary Church 22 Notre Dame Ave. Dayton, OH 45404 beginning at 10:00 am.
