Knapke, Joan L., age 86 of Centerville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Joan is preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Paul J. Knapke. She is survived by her four children; Connie (Steve) Clark, Rick (Mary) Knapke, Jim (Carlanne) Knapke and Ken (Sharon) Knapke. Her seven grandchildren; Kris (Grace) Knapke, Tom (Thania) Knapke, JP Clark, Jamy Clark, Tony Knapke, Kyle Knapke and Martin (Ashley) Otto; sister, Carol (Warner) VanHorne; sisters-in-law, Wanda Boeckerman, Pat Gentile and a brother-in-law, David Knapke. Joan was a very active and social lady. She worked at Hallmark of Centerville into her 80’s, belonged to the Catholic Naim Group for over ten years and because of her love for playing cards, many card clubs. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 22 at Ascension Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial, Calvary Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton in lieu of flowers, envelopes will be available at the church.
