Joan Westendorf

Westendorf, Joan M., age 86, of Centerville, passed away Monday December 12, 2016. Mrs Westendorf was a graduate of Julienne High School. During her working career, she worked for the Board of Elections and then later for the Clerk of Courts in the Civil Division for the City of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Gertrude (Zimmerle) Wartinger; her husband, Thomas H. Westendorf; and a daughter-in-law, Denise Westendorf. Joan is survived by two daughters, Lynn Westendorf, Jean & Kevin McGree; a son, Kenny Westendorf; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Donna King, Jane Jancauskas, and Lois Payne; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Monday at the Church of the Incarnation in Centerville. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
