Joey Kraemer

Kraemer, Joey, age 19, of Kettering passed away September 27, 2015. Heaven gained a very special angel. Joey was a very unique and talented individual. To his close family, he was a son, a brother and the favorite uncle to his nieces and nephew. Joey, by default, was a born athlete. He had the size, the strength and the determination to be great. Joey adored football. He started by napping in his big sisters pompom bag during SK Lions games and moved to admire “the brothers” from the sidelines. He could not wait until it was his time to play. As he played and excelled through Alter High School, UTEP and EKU, he had reached out and touched many lives of players and families through his gift of bringing smiles and laughter. Joey was a very spiritual person. Despite being born in the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati, Joey was a devoted Catholic. In high school, Joey went on to Kairos, the religious retreat at Alter High School and came back a different person. As the months went on, he frequently met with several different Kairos groups. Joey was loved by his parents, Richard and Belinda; his siblings, Nicholas, Nathan, Lauren and Jacob; his nieces, Jordan and Charlotte; his nephew, Weston and numerous others. Everybody loved Joey. His parents said he was the easiest, but his siblings would refute that he was just the smartest; he had mastered the art of “sucking up. Joey loved laughter and smiling. In spite of his parents, coaches and trainers best attempts, the one thing they could not take away from him was his smile. At times it was frustrating, but none-the-less, it was contagious. It is not possible to completely describe the person Joey was because he was many things to many different people. The one common denominator is that Joey went out of his way to make an impact on anyone who met him. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am Monday October 5 at St. Charles Borromeo Church. The family will receive friends 2:00-6:00 pm Sunday at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. Burial, David’s Cemetery.
