John Logan, July 26, 1933- January 14, 2024
In loving memory of John Logan who passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday.
John was born in Dayton OH to Joe and Doris Logan, the eldest of the eight surviving children. He
began working at 14 to support the family when his father became disabled. He was chosen by the love
of his life, Anneita and married in 1955 until her death in 2008. Together they were blessed with six
children. John’s view of success was providing a safe and secure future for his children. He worked
tirelessly to send them through St. Charles, Alter and the University of Dayton. He also was
dedicated to the success of his and Anneita’s business and employees at Logan Master Appliance.
John faced life as much of his Silent Generation did: with stoic dignity in the face of adversity.
He was generous in charity without accolades. His mantra was Dial Soap, Maalox and white paint.
He dedicated his life to family, faith and hard work.
John is survived by his six children: Steve (Bobbie), Angel (Dave), Tim (Teri), Christy (Bob),
Chele (Art) and Matt (Patti), 13 grandchildren: Erin (Greg), Shannon (Chris), Kelly (Adam),
Matt (Mollie), Shelby (Jake), David (Lindy), Katie (Mike), Amanda (James), Kenny, Bryan (Dustin),
Ceara, Madailein and Catharine and 9 Great grandchildren: Riley, Aiden, Mason, Olivia, Avery,
Remi, Frankie, Elliot and Layla.
John is also survived by his brothers Pat and Joe (Nancy) and his sisters Mary (Frank) and
Kate (Chuck). John was preceded in death by his wife Anneita, sisters Judy and Marcia, his
brother Mike and his grandson Colton.
