Joseph Marzluft

MARZLUFT, Joseph I. age 82, of Centerville, passed away Friday January 30, 2009. Mr. Marzluft was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. OConnell Council #3730; the VFW #9927, and was very active in the American Legion Post #598. During his working career, Joe was a firefighter with the Dayton Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris L. Marzluft, and a nephew, Daniel Lewis. Joe is survived by a sister-in-law, Arline Lewis; a nephew, Glen Landis (Penny); niece, Robin Lewis; great nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Landis, Julie Frick, Angela King, Tyler Lewis; other nieces and nephews; a special friend, Darlene Grice; and the many friends from the American Legion #598. There will be a funeral service 2:00pm Thursday at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel with Father Chris Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-2pm at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
