Joseph Francis Scheper

SCHEPER, Joseph Francis, age 80 of Centerville, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 with his loving wife by his side. Born November 22, 1938 in Dayton, OH to the late, Joseph and Dorothy (Kimble) Scheper. Also preceding him in death is brother, Thomas Scheper and granddaughter Chelsee. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Linda; daughters, Vickie (Rick) Barr, Cindy (Charlie) Alcorn, Julie Scheper-Brock, Lori (Chris) Kesel, Angi (Doug) Combs, and Becki (Damon) Wick; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Bev) Scheper, Ron (Paula) Scheper, Nancy (Bob) Gutmann, sister-in-law, Rosalie Scheper; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Joe was a GMI graduate and retired from Delco Products in 1991. Joe was a devoted family man who loved traveling, playing tennis, golf, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe's family would like to express their gratitude to all the wonderful staff at Kettering Hospital, St. Leonard's Rehab, and Kettering Home Care. Family and friends may visit from 4-7pm on Thursday, February 7 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd., Kettering. Mass will be held at 11am on Friday, February 8 at St. Mary's Assumption Church, 9579 Yankee Rd, Springboro followed by a luncheon to celebrate his life. Joe will then be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
