Judith Lee Grieshop Trick (Judi), daughter of Frank Charles Grieshop and Teresa Phelan, entered this world on February 16, 1938, in Dayton, Ohio. She was the 3rd of eight children.
Judi was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Louis Trick, her parents, her daughter-in-law Kimberly Trick, her sister Mary Lucente, her brothers Joe Grieshop and John Grieshop.
She is survived by her six children and spouses, Patti and Joe Paulus of Elkton, Maryland, Sharon and Dan Cassidy of Clarksville, Ohio, Tina and David Preston of St. Louis, Missouri, Tony Trick, Andrew Trick, and Laurie and Mike LaSelle, all of Dayton, Ohio. Her family includes nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren living throughout the country, numerous nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
She is also survived by her siblings Frank Grieshop, Sharon O'Brien, David Grieshop and Teresa Kaiser.
Judi was blessed by her ministry to the Catholic Church for over 50 years, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She started her years of service when she was 11 years old as a Brownie, she went up through the ranks to Senior Girl Scout leader with her oldest daughter. She tried never to miss a sporting event her children were involved in, even though at times there were several going on at the same time.
Gardening and sewing were special passions of hers.
Judi took special delight in her church friends, especially Julie Shepherd.
She highly recommends being at home with Hospice care. She was able to spend time with so many people she loved in her last days.
Judi died peacefully surrounded by her crazy, nutty children and is most grateful for their care during her dying days. Laughter was part of the process.
