Julie A. Stricker

STRICKER, Julie A. age 52 of Dayton passed away October 3, 2013 after a brief illness with cancer. She was born January 9, 1961 in Dayton, OH to Gene and Marie Tye. She was a graduate of Northmont H.S. 1979 and had served in the United States Air Force from 1979-1983. She is survived by her parents Gene and Marie of Hillsboro; husband, Jerry of 27 years; sons, Andrew and Scott both of Denver CO.; sister, Linda Tye of Hillsboro, OH; brother, Stephen (Joan) Tye of SC; mother in-law Shirley Stricker of Hamilton , Ohio; brother in-law Jim (Lisa) Stricker also of Hamilton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends and her special dog Birdy. She loved reading, gardening, bird watching, Arsenal Soccer Team, Cincinnati Bengals, socializing with family and friends and any movie with Colin Firth in it. The family will receive friends Monday October 7, from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family requests casual dress for the visitation
