Katherine McCall

McCALL (Fonner), KATHERINE A. "KATIE" passed away in Auburn, California on February 5, 2010. She was born in Lima, OH on October 18, 1917. Katherine retired from University of Dayton, where she was employed for many years as the administrative assistant to the Director of Development. She worked for both Mr. Elwood Zimmer and Brother Elmer Lackner who were very instrumental in starting UD's endowment process; she was well known by the UD Community. She is survived by daughter, Ruth Wright & husband Floyd of Grass Valley, California, her step-son, Mike McCall & wife Sue of Dayton, grandchildren Cindy (Raymond) Alvarado, Jim (Nikki) Watson, Kim (Greg) Stotler, Chris (Rhonda) Watson, Kelly (Johnnie) McCall-Williams, Brian (Laura) McCall & Joseph (Megan) McCall. She had numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen (Sonny) McCall, Jr., grandsons, Bob & Tom Watson and brother Franz Fonner. Visitation will be held, Friday, February 26th from 11:30 until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering 45440.
