WOLFF (Dorsten),Katherine Ann “Kay”, age 77, passed away Tuesday, Mar. 31, 2015. She was born to Walter F. & Alma A. (Rengers) Dorsten on Jan. 15, 1938 in Dayton, OH. A 1955 graduate of St Joseph Commercial H.S., Kay attended & worked with University of Dayton Special Sessions and Law School. She was recognized as an active volunteer-teaching knitting & crocheting at St. Mary Center and 10 Wilmington Place. Kay’s St. Mary Church activities included: St. Ann Society, sacristan, Finance & Building Committee, Choir & Alumni Association. Other activities included: Charter Member of the Dayton Knitting Guild, UD Faculty Wives Club, Dayton Catholic Women’s Club & Dayton Liederkranz-Turner. She is survived by her devoted husband Robert L. Wolff, married on Oct. 4, 1958 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Dayton, OH. Kay was a loving & supportive mother of Karen (Gene) Schamel, Mary Beth Walters, Doug Wolff, Jeff (Melissa) Wolff; Oma to Caitlin (Chuck) Muncy, Kevin, Emily & Michael Schamel, Pamela, Diane & James Walters, Evan & Chloe Wolff, Megan, Kierstin & Leah Wolff; Great-grandmother to Henry & Hudson Muncy; Sister to Theresa (Ron-dec.) Thobe, Sister-in law to Ann Leigh (Walter Strubczewski), Mary-dec. (Bill) Buonocore, Katie Wolff (Jay Gordin); aunt to Keith, Denise, Scott (Carter & Stella) Thobe, Becky & Mike (Julie) Leigh, Jenny (Adam) McClanahan & Jessie (Scott) Whitesell; and many loving cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, corner of Xenia Ave. & Allen St., celebrated by Fr. Chris Wittmann, S.M. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday, April 6, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 310 Allen St., Dayton, OH 45410.
