Kathleen A Coogan

COOGAN, KATHLEEN ANN "KAY", age 86, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael J. Coogan and parents: Martin and Mabel Synnett. She is survived by her daughters: Kathy Coogan, Maureen Coogan, Peggy Gidjunis and Colleen Coogan; sons: Michael (Margaret) Coogan and Patrick Coogan; granddaughters: Allison and Jessica Gidjunis and Anna Coogan; sister-in-law, Julia Stegeman and numerous nieces and nephews that are left to cherish her memory. Kay was a graduate of Julienne High School, College of Mount St. Joseph and Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She retired as a Registered Nurse and the United States Post Office. Kay volunteered at the former St. Joseph Children's Home and Hospice of Dayton; she was a member of Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and was a devout Catholic. She will be remembered for her quick wits and sense of humor. Kay was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt and will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will be held Friday, December 14th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave, Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 15th at St. Joseph Church, 411 E. 2nd Street, Dayton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Hospice of Dayton.
