Feller, Kenneth M. 64, of Pleasant Hill, OH, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2013. Ken was born in Connersville, IN on May 20, 1949. He was the son of Warren and Judy Feller. He graduated from Cambridge High in 1967 and received a B.A. in Psychology and Art from Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN in 1974 and a Masters of Art Therapy from Wright State University in Dayton, OH in 1984. He proudly served many Ohio residents as a licensed social worker throughout his professional career and currently worked at the Access Center for Independent Living in Dayton, OH. He is survived by his partner John T. Zimmerman of Pleasant Hill, Ohio and many beloved cocker spaniels to whom he devoted his life.Ken was preceded in death by his father Warren Feller and beloved cousin Beverly Ravencraft. He is survived by his mother Judy Feller of Richmond, IN, his brother Dennis Feller of Milton, IN, his sisters Bonnie Lapham, Indianapolis, IN,Karen McCain, Milton, IN, Sharon Scholten, Murfreesboro, TN and Sandy Spurgin, Milton, IN, Aunt Barbara Ravencraft, Richmond, IN and Aunt Sylvia Ravencraft, Cambridge City, IN; cousins: Brenda and Ron Chandler, Richard and Maggie Fain, Rob Ravencraft, Ann and Duane McDonald, Laura and Lance Waskom, Lisa and Brent Holverson, Chad Lawson, Mathew McDonald, Ashley Ravencraft and many other cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Ken was especially fond of the Al and Melinda Butsch-Kovacic family of Union, Kentucky; the Alan and Angela Kiger family of Butler Township, the Trey & Sonja Zimmerman family, the Karl & Carol Zimmerman family, the Bruce & Wendy Zimmerman family, and the Lisa Hilliker family, as well as Dave and Vanessa Fog, Kevin Hamilton, Andrew Hallum, Jim McCarthy and David Dailey, Julie Amos and Belinda Koch and Susan and Lee Weidenbach.Ken had a large family of friends in the dog show world including special family relationships with Betty Ann Cornish, Laura Heidrich, Nancy Davidson Foley, Genea Jones, Elena Duggan, and many across the nation who adored Ken for his dedication to the magic that pure-bred cocker spaniels give the world and families who own them. In addition to the love of cocker spaniels, Ken was a master gardener, and left a bountiful legacy of plants and gardens for his neighbors and family to enjoy. Visitation at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Avenue, Dayton, OH 45410 on Thursday July 18, 2013 from 5 PM to 7 PM. Memorial Service will be on Friday July 19, 2013 at 11 AM at Woodland Cemetery Chapel, 118 Woodland Ave, Dayton, OH 45409, followed by a luncheon reception for friends and relatives at the home of Karl and Carol Zimmerman in Miamisburg, OH. Those wishing to donate to a favorite charity in honor of Ken can donate to the American Cocker Spaniel Foundation; or to the Access Center for Independent Living in Dayton, OH; or to the Lisa Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship Fund managed by the Dayton Fund.
