HENZ, Reverend Kenneth W., age 88 of Dayton passed away Thursday September 13, 2012. Rev. Henz was ordained a priest May 26, 1951 at St. Monica Cathedral in Cincinnati. Appointments: St. Gregory and Mt. St. Mary of West Seminaries. June 11, 1951 App. Vicarius Cooperator to St. Mary, Springfield, Feb. 11, 1952 App. Vic. Coop. of St. Raphael Ch., Springfiled-June 5, 1957 App. Vic. Coop. St. Aloysius, Bridgetown, Cincinnati to teach at Elder High School. Aug. 31, 1960 asst. full time at Nativity, Cincinnati. Jan 4, 1961 asst. full time at St. Lawrence; June 17, 1966 Appt. Vic. Coop. "pro tem" at St. Denis, Versailles; August 9, 1967 Appt. Vic. Coop. at St. Helen, Dayton, June 15, 1972 Pastor St. Mary, Dayton: Sept. 4 1984 Pastor St. Stephen, Dayton; Retired January 3, 1994. Fr. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edna; two brothers, Mike and Don; sisters-in-law, Mary Elizabeth, Rose Ann and Mary Ann Henz. He is survived by a brother, Richard Henz of Dayton, nine nieces and nephews, Ken Henz, Chris O'Connor, Debi Hammock, Cindy Hoops, Diane Miller, Bob Henz, Tom Henz, John Henz, Marilyn Siekierka; 19 great nieces and nephews and 11 great great nieces and nephews. Reception of the Body and viewing, 3:30 pm to 6 pm Tuesday September 18 at St. Anthony Church, 830 Bowen St., Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 am Wednesday September 19 at St. Anthony Church.
