SNOW, KIMBERLY McCLURG, age 38 of Centerville, OH passed away Thursday, May 26th at Kettering Medical Center at 3:47 a.m. Kimberly was born March 31, 1973 at Dettmer Hospital in Troy, OH to Marilyn and Thomas McClurg. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary and Sylvester Borgert and Paul McClurg; her mother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Snow and her uncle, Jerome T. Ruzicka. She is survived by her loving husband, John T. Snow, Jr. of thirteen years and their beautiful daughters, Madelynn and Marilyn (Maddie & Marin) Snow; her parents, Marilyn & Thomas McClurg (Tipp City, OH); her brother, Kevin (Nici) McClurg (Tipp City) and father-in-law, John T. Snow, Sr. (Cinda Archer) of (Tampa, FL). Her sisters-in-law: Brittany Snow (Los Angeles, CA) and Holly (Jay) King (Centerville); her grandmother, Marlene McClurg (Versailles, OH); her uncles: Steve (Marie) McClurg (Chickasaw,OH), Pat (Virginia) McClurg, Ed (Rosie) McClurg (St. Sabastian), David (Wendy) McClurg (Bradenton, FL), Dean (Darlene) McClurg (Tipp City), Tony (Judy) McClurg (Tipp City) and Ronald Borgert (Celina, OH). Her aunts: Susie (Harold) Hemmelgarn (Hardin, OH), Anne (Bill) Mangen (Montezuma, OH), Mary (Larry) Eyink (Chickasaw), Teresa (Jim) Wente (New Bremen, OH), Donna (Gary) Mix (Greenville, OH), Rita (John) Schemmel (Maria Stein, OH), Connie (Walt) Pohlmann (Maria Stein), Darlene Ruzicka (Beavercreek, OH), Diane (Bob) Bilo, a special cousin and friend. Two nephews: Mason and Miles McClurg (Tipp City), four nieces, Kelsey McClurg (Tipp City), Kaitlyn Snow (Dayton) and Grace & Alissa King (Dayton) and Tom Curtin (Dayton) a special friend of the family. She leaves behind a host of cousins, relatives and many friends. Kimberly was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing & Communications from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH and her MBA from the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and a member of the Church of the Incarnation and St. Leonard’s in Centerville. Kimberly was very active in many volunteer and community organizations: America’s Promise Public Relations Committee; March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Auction Committee; Junior League of Dayton; Women’s Board at Children’s Hospital; Women’s Resource Collaborative; Better Business Bureau Eclipse; Women’s Economic Development Marketing and Event Chair; Walk for Women’s Wellness; Clothes That Work Board; Ribbon of Hope Luncheon; Primary Village South Volunteer; EtAl…. She also maintained a successful and fulfilling career at Sinclair Community College. Kimberly dedicated her time to countless local organizations never asking for anything in return. She lived her life by the maxim: “Stand up for what is right…even if you are standing alone.” She was a recipient of the Dayton Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award and was a part of the 2008 Leadership Dayton team. She painted the quintessential picture of an empowered woman. She was an amazing wife and mother, who always found a way to put her family first. She will always be remembered as a very loving and caring individual. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday June 1st. at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave. (A private cremation service will be held at a later date) Friends may call Tuesday, May 31st from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering and again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at the Church. Per Kimberly’s wishes, please do not send flowers. Donations may be given to Children’s Medical Center, One Children’s Plaza, Dayton, OH 45404 or to Clothes that Work, 1133 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd, Suite 392, Dayton, OH 45408 or to a charity of your choice.
