Leona O'Connor

O'CONNOR, Leona W. age 86, of Kettering, passed away Thursday January 7, 2010. Mrs. OConnor was a long time member of Ascension Church where she was involved in various parish activities. In addition, she was a member of the Super Bs, the NRRCA, and many more groups and organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. OConnor in 2006. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Esther b Woeste, and a brother, Robert Woeste. Mrs. OConnor is survived by four daughters, Kathleen Gelm, Rose O. (& Bob) Davis, Suzanne Drerup, Lois (&Curt) Schoep; a son, Paul (&Debra) OConnor; 33 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Florence (&Robert) Huels, Helen (&Frederick) Rau; a brother, Albert (&Betty) Woeste; a brother-in-law Donald ( & Lucille) OConnor; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and countless friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am Monday at Ascension Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-6pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, and Monday from 10:00am- 11:00am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St Vincent DePaul Society.
