Lorie Cooney

Lorie Cooney, age 64, of Centerville passed away on October 30th, and was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dorothy Cooney. Lorie worked in healthcare for 38 years. She formally worked for H.C. Knoll MD, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Dayton Childrens' Hospital and was retired from Miami Valley Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She graduated from Sinclair Community College, Indiana Wesleyan University, and received her Masters Degree from Wright State University. She graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in the class of 1978.

She is survived by her brothers Robert and James of Dayton, sisters Renee Ellis of Dayton and Teresa Kerns of Mesa, Arizona. She adored her nieces and nephews, Craig Cooney, Paul Kerns, Jordan Cooney, Tara Fournier, Kelly Christman, and Ashley Meilinger. Great nephews, Matthew Dunham and Ethan Meilinger. Great nieces Olivia Christman, Sierra Fournier and Freija Reck. Godchildren Olivia and Chloe Swindall. Longtime family friends Victoria Crain, and Jackie and Bill Loffer.
