TRICK, Louis John Age 76, lifelong resident of Dayton, died Saturday, July 18, 2009. He was a loving and gracious husband, father and friend. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Bertha Trick, his parents in law, Frank and Teresa Grieshop, daughter in law Kimberly Trick and brothers, Leonard, Leo and Lawrence Trick. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judi Grieshop Trick, six children and spouses, Patti and Joe Paulus of Elkton, Maryland, Sharon and Dan Cassidy of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Tina and David Preston of St. Louis, Missouri, Tony Trick, Andrew Trick and Laurie Trick, all of Dayton, Ohio. Louis leaves behind ten grandchildren who loved their PaPa and they held a special place in his heart, Nicole Trick Steinbach, Dominik Steinbach, Francis McLaughlin, Teresa McLaughlin, Joshua Paulus, Kenan Paulus, Jonathan Preston, Micaela Preston, Luke Preston and Jacob Trick. He is also survived by one sister, Sister Teresa Trick, osf and five brothers Herman, Robert, Edward, William and Reverend James F. Trick. Louis was a retired toolmaker from General Motors and after his retirement a volunteer handyman at Holy Trinity Church and for anyone who needed his assistance. Visitation will be at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Avenue on Monday evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Louies life will be celebrated at his Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 272 Bainbridge Street, Dayton at 10:00 am. The celebrant will be Father Gene Vonderhaar. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Holy Trinity Church Improvement Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
