Asztalos, Lucille T., (nee Sierschula), formerly of Beavercreek, OH, born June 13, 1912, passed away at the age of 103 on September 21, 2015. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Lucille was also the first bride to be escorted down the aisle by her father at St Mary Catholic Church, Dayton, OH (June 6, 1931). Her hobbies included crocheting, playing the organ, reupholstering furniture, sewing and walking. Lucille’s community service was first as an American Red Cross volunteer and then as a 15-year volunteer at St Elizabeth’s Hospital. She was a long-time member of Bally Total Fitness, enjoying the water-aerobics classes. Preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Mary (Weber) Sierschula; husband George Asztalos, Jr; daughter Elaine Landis; son Thomas; sons-in-law David Landis, Robert Latina; sisters Marie, Anna, Amelia, Marguerite, Helen; brothers Albert, Carl, Raymond, Bernard. Survived by daughters Thomasine (Sostenes) Suazo, Sharleen Thompson, Lucie Asztalos, all of Beavercreek OH; Carol Latina of West Chester PA; daughter-in-law Anita Asztalos of Huber Heights OH. Also surviving are grandchildren Stephanie, Mark, Kim, Deby, Eric, Scott, Douglas, Greg, Jeff, Jamie, Shannon, Raena, Sydney; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 6, 11:00am at St Mary Church, corner of Allen St and Xenia Ave in Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at noon with interment at Calvary Cemetery. The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the aides and staff at Bethany Village for their care and love of Lucille.
