CORDONNIER, Lucille (Lucy), age 87 of Centerville passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. She was born in Dayton on December 30, 1930 to the late James and Marcella (Heil) O’Meara. She was preceded in death by her siblings Edward and Gene O’Meara and Betty McMahon. Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Eugene Cordonnier; children, Lynda (Rob) McCoy, Chris (Denise) Cordonnier, Lori Cordonnier, Lisa (Eric) Hoefler, and predeceased by an infant, Liane. Also survived by grandchildren, Andrew and Alex McCoy, Megan Ellis, Erica Schmiedebusch, Samantha Hoefler, Emily Brannum, Bradley and Elizabeth Cordonnier; great-grandchildren Jack, Charlie, Lucy, James, Margaret Ann and Rosemary; brother Thomas (Pat) O’Meara, sister Martha Beemsterboer and a host of other family and friends. Lucy graduated from Julienne H.S. in 1948 and then worked for the City of Dayton for five years. She returned to work in 1967 at The Marianist Mission and worked there for the next 40 years. She loved this job and the many friends with whom she worked. She was a lifelong UD basketball fan and attended many games over the years. Lucy enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Las Vegas, and spending time with her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Saturday, June 30 at Church of the Incarnation. She will then be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday, June 29 at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd., Kettering.
