Lucille M. Hess

HESS (nee KNAPKE), LUCILLE M., age 92 of Centerville passed Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Leonard Retirement Community. She was born February 16, 1922 in Cranberry Prairie, OH to William and Rose Knapke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Caspar J. Hess of 28 years. Lucille is survived by six sons and one daughter: Steve (Mary) Hess, Tom (Joanne) Hess, Donna (Matt) Strehle, Ron (Amy) Hess, David (Cece) Hess, Mark (Rita) Hess and Gary (Lisa) Hess. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three sisters-in-law: Esther Knapke, Eileen Knapke and Norma Knapke. Visitation will be held Monday, January 5th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering and Tuesday, January 6th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
