VOELKL, Lucille B. age 98, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday November 30, 2011. Mrs. Voelkl was retired from Poeppelmeiers Decorating Center where she was a bookkeeper for 36 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Anna Lieser; her husband, Bernard J. Voelkl; three grandchildren, Randall Hall, Michele Neuhaus, Russell Voelkl; a son-in-law, John Belhorn; and 10 brothers and sisters. Lucille is survived by a daughter, Carol Belhorn; a son Bernard (Faye) Voelkl; a daughter, Marilyn (Robert) Curry; a son, Michael (Dawn) Voelkl; a daughter, Kathy (Wessley) Hall; 18 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; a brother, John (Marie) Lieser; a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Halderman; a brother- in-law, Donald Schweitzer; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30am Saturday at St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-8pm Friday at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to St. Anthony Church. The family would like to thank two granddaughters, Debbie Curry and Theresa Wheeler and the special caregivers from Hospice for all of their love, compassion and care for the past three years.
