Madonna R. Canty

CANTY (nee McMAHON), MADONNA R., age 89 passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Catherine (nee Thade) McMahon; husband, Michael Joseph Canty; son, Timothy Canty; granddaughter, Theresa Chinn; brothers and sisters-in-law: John E. (Florence) McMahon, Robert E. McMahon and Dennis P. (Betty) McMahon; brother-in-law, Eugene Bertke and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Rita Canty, Virginia Werts and Frances (Larry) Zugelder. Madonna is survived by her loving children: Regina Canty, Ellen (Gary) Chinn, Catherine (Brian) Humanic, Michael F. (Rita (nee Trick)) Canty, Daniel H. Canty and Sean C. Canty; grandchildren: Heather (Wes) Lauer, Meaghan Chinn (Chase Estes), Christopher Chinn, Matthew Chinn, Nick Humanic, Michael, Mark, Daniel, Andrew and Liam Canty; great-grandchildren: Gavin and Nolan Lauer and Addison Chinn; sister, Kathleen Bertke; brother-in-law, Bernard Canty and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice of Dayton for all of their care and compassion. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 27th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave, Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 28th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 523 Xenia Ave., Dayton. Burial will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
