GENTILE, Marjorie Sue (Roudebush) age 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 10, 2014. A devoted mother and wife, she was energetic, strong, and giving of her time and heart. Marge was born on October 16, 1949 to George and Mary (Adae) Roudebush. She grew up in Mount Orab, Ohio and attended Ohio University where she met her loving husband, Michael Gentile. Married June 15, 1969, they were blessed with two children, Steve (Gina) Gentile and Jennifer Gentile. Marge was very proud of her grandchildren, loved reading with them, taking them places, and cheering them on in sports and school activities: Jacob, Tyler, and Evan Gentile, and Liesl and Kiera Kuschnerus. She graduated from Wright State University in 1972, magna cum laude, receiving her Master's in Education in 1974. Marge dedicated 34 years as an accomplished teacher for the Mad River School District. Her own inquisitiveness and passion for learning shown in the classroom and with her peers. She was honored as Mad River's teacher of the year in 1994-1995. Marge was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church singing in the choir, working with the children's ministry, serving children in the local community, enjoying her Sunday School study group, and making friends with so many. She was instrumental in bringing her family to the Lord and grew closer herself to the Lord with her participation in Bible Study Fellowship. Marge greatly cherished her dear friends over the years, including Dan and Karen Pelphrey and Ken and Beth Gunton. She had many laughs with the ladies of her monthly Card Club she helped founded 30 years ago. Marge enjoyed her daily walks, playing games, traveling, golf, and Curves. Mostly, she adored her family. Marge is preceded in death by her father, George Roudebush, and her step-father, John Morgan, and is survived by her mother, Mary Morgan, and her siblings: Carol (Steve) Conn, Debbie (David) Roudebush- Larch, and Howard Roudebush. The family sincerely thanks Tori Powers-Smith and Pastor Jason Bunger from Hope Church, Hospice, and the local ALS Association. Services will be held 10:00 am Thursday May 15 at Hope United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends 4:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. and 9:30-10:00 am Thursday at the church. Burial, David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central and Southern Chapter of the ALS Association and Hospice of Dayton.
