Burgess, Martha J. (Kuenle)

Passed away Wednesay, January 31, 2018 at age 95 in Centerville, OH. Martha was born in Dayton on December 18, 1922, the youngest of five children of Andrew and Clara (Sacksteder) Kuenle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her four siblings, her husband Kenneth in 1984, and her beloved grandson, David K Burgess in 2016.

Martha is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Ann and Jack Goebel, Diane and Joe DiGrazia, and Ken and Kathy Burgess. Her grandchildren, in whom she took great pleasure and pride, Michael Goebel and Kelli Zaytoun, Matthew and Melissa Goebel, Sarah K Burgess, and Megan and Eric Gilley also mourn her passing. Martha was blessed to know, love and be loved by great-grandsons, Jonas, Christopher and Collin Goebel, Evan and Nathan Gilley, and two special and loved bonus great-grandsons David Byrne and Riley Emmel. She was, and will always be, deeply loved by all of us.

Visitation is on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10 am at St. Leonard’s Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville, OH 45458 with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Social Services, 124 W. Apple Street, Dayton, OH 45402 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
