BALLMANN, Mary L. Age 91, of Dayton, went to be reunited with the love of her life, George Ballmann, Tuesday, August 10, 2010. She was the loyal daughter of the late J. Linn and Marie Schnell Cochran and devoted mother to David Ballmann, the late Jeanne Mangum, Jeff (Julie) Ballmann, Nancy (Kim) Greene, Linda (Doug) Hitchcock. She was forever proud of her 14 grandchildren Greg (deceased), Jenny, Dominique, Martika, Debbie, Laura, Eric, Lynn, Leigh, Isaac, Kerrie, Zachary, Alison, Ashley, and 16 great-grandchildren Corrie, Ryan, Kate, Chantel, Izabella, Angelina, Adam, Sam, Belinda, Penelope, Kayla, Kyle, Cara, Andrew, Josephine and Taylor. Mary was sister and friend to Martha Orendorf and preceded in death by their 4 brothers Dick, Jim, Don and Jack Cochran. Sister-in-laws Amber Cochran, Shirley Cochran, Charlene Cochran, Ruth Hunt, and many nieces and nephews survive Mary. Mary also leaves behind lifelong friends from St. Anthonys and Julienne High School, Frances Shuey and Glenna Breig. Marys family would like to thank Seniorcare MVH for the quality of life and happiness they gave her these past 6 years. We are grateful to the medical staff that cared for our mother in the Trauma Unit at Miami Valley Hospital and the SICU at Kettering Hospital in recent months. Special thanks to Lincoln Park Manor Nursing Home and Hospice of Dayton for the compassion she was given as she prepared to move onto her next journey. A celebration of Marys life will take place at St. Albert the Great Church on Saturday, 10am. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering, Ohio.
