Mary E. Borns

Borns, Mary E., age 92, of Centerville, passed away on Monday March 14, 2016, at Bethany Village. She is survived by her son Mike (Denise) Borns; grandsons Matthew and Mark; sister Irene; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Al; parents, Joseph and Veronica Kubic; sisters Ann, Margaret, Vera, Helen; brothers Joe, Peter, Mike, Jack. Mary was born in Barton, Ohio. She graduated from Elliott’s Business College in Wheeling, WV and came to Dayton in 1943 to work at Wright Field during WWII. She and her roommate, Louise Peters, went on a double date with their milkman and his brother, Al. Mary and Al were married in 1947. Mary enjoyed her many lifelong friends from Highland Terrace, Riverside Optimist Club, Trailsend Club, Dayton Women’s Club, Twigs 25, and Hithergreen. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandsons, cooking and baking, dining at the Oakwood Club, and Bengal Football. Private services to be held at David’s Cemetery.
