Bruns, Mary Sylvia Kiger, age 91, of Centerville, passed away Sunday July 29, 2018. Mrs. Bruns, a life-long resident of the Dayton/Centerville area, was born November 27, 1926 to the late Claude and Ethel Kiger. She was employed as a Senior Product Coordinator at Delco for 39 years. Mrs. Bruns is preceded in death by two sisters, Myrna Kiger Walters, Millie Kiger Dunaway; and a brother-in-law, Chuck Walters. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Louis Bruns, whom she married September 29, 1962. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary loved to travel, with Lake Tahoe and Hilton Head to play golf, as two of her favorite destinations. She also enjoyed regular trips to “The Boat” where she enjoyed spending time with many of her relatives and friends. She also liked to cook, bake, play golf and watch golf. Mary was an enthusiastic and passionate University of Dayton Men’s Basketball fan, and was also a dedicated Cincinnati Reds fan. Mary had a heart of gold and paid forward all of her life with genuine generosity. There will be a funeral service Friday August 3rd at 1:00pm at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon to 1:00pm at the Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements by The Westbrock Funeral Home.
