Mary E. Ferguson

Mary Byard Ferguson, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Kettering, Ohio with her immediate family by her side. Mary, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Byard, was born in Dayton, Ohio on Sept., 23, 1936. Mary graduated from Stivers High School and the University of Dayton. She worked as a legal secretary in Dayton before marrying her high school sweetheart Lawrence Ferguson in 1958. Her parents, brother Robert Byard, and son Douglas Ferguson preceded her in death.She is survived by Lawrence Ferguson, her devoted husband of 56 years; son Bryan Ferguson of Pasadena, CA; daughter Lynn Ferguson Armstrong and her husband Phil Armstrong of Darien, CT; grandchildren Cole and Kate Armstrong of Darien, CT; and brother-in-law Richard Ferguson and his wife Phyllis Ferguson of Beavercreek, OH; sister-in-law, Bonnie Pennington and her husband, William Pennington of Atlanta, GA. Mary will be remembered for her kindness and giving nature. A small family service will be scheduled at a future date.In lieu of flowers the family donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or any Hospice chapter of your choosing.
