Mary R. Fieno

FIENO, Mary R. (DeVol), age 86 of Kettering died Wednesday morning at Trinity Community of Beavercreek under Hospice Care. She is the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Marie DeVol, and was born in Zanesville, Ohio. She was the head cheerleader at Zanesville High School and the University of Dayton. Mary worked for Chase Bank for many years and also taught religious education. She was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Kettering, and for several years organized a bus of parishioners to participate in the March for Life in Washington D.C. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike and her siblings, Steve DeVol, Nancy Adams and Kay Ostendorf. She is survived by her four children: David J. Hoene II, M. Jill (Jeff) Kennard, Jeffery S. (Kori) Hoene and B. Lynn (Matt Haley) Hoene; four grandchildren, Lauren Haley, Erich Hoene, Colin Haley, Mason Hoene; her siblings, Betsy Role, Tom DeVol, Vince DeVol and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 17 at St. Charles Borromeo Parish. Friends and family may visit from 9:30am-10:30am at church prior to mass beginning. Mary will then be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
