Mary Mohr

MOHR, Mary Ellen age 85 passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton after a long battle with cancer. Mary Ellen will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dr. James Mohr, daughter, Connie Mohr, and sons, Steve Mohr and Bruce Mohr, 3 grandchildren: Hanna, Megan and Jonathan Mohr. Mary Ellen is also survived by a sister, Joan (Fred) Sommer, brother, James (Dottie) Alexander, sister-in-law, Mary Alexander and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kaye Mohr, sister, Rita Alexander and brothers, August Alexander and Leo Alexander. Mary Ellen was a graduate of Julienne High School and Good Samaritan School of Nursing class of 1945. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Catholic Youth Club, and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She was an active volunteer in many organizations including: Girl Scouts. St. Anthony Grade School, St. Helen Parish, Carroll High School Band and currently a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 25th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave, Centerville 45459. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF), 3932D Swift Road, Sarasota, FL 34231-6541.
