Mary Payne

Payne, Mary C. (Brennan), age 101, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Born March 14, 1907, Mary was a resident of The Suites at Walnut Creek. She was the oldest living graduate of the University of Dayton and the U.D. Law School, graduating in 1930 with a Doctorate of Juris Prudence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Payne, Sr. Surviving are three daughters, Barbara and Ernie Koerner, Sally and Armand Martino, Molly and Paul Fettig, and two sons, Bob Payne and Tom and Linda Zwiesler Payne. She has 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was the first recipient of "The Mary Brennan Payne Award" from the UD Law School in 2008, and was a long time member of The Christ Child Society, The Dayton Catholic Women's Club and Incarnation Parish. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 15th at The Church of the Incarnation, Rev. Eugene Contadino, SM officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery at the discretion of the family. Friends may call at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering on Sunday, December 14th from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m
